Are You Annointed – Part 2

Greetings! I am writing to complete the August article and not leave anyone hanging. If you have not read Part 1, please go to our web site and read it. As I shared of my discomfort concerning the glory of God, I would also like to express my concern on the anointing. I believe there is too much confusion in this area, and absolutely too much division when it comes to the anointing.
Once again we have dissected God into many manifestations leaving too many believers ignorant, discouraged, and absolutely powerless. We as the five-fold ministry have created insecurity and unnatural dependence in the body of Christ. Again I believe our looking at Old Testament anointing and trying to impose it on New Testament believers, leaves it like it is for only a select few in the body of Christ.
We have not understood that the Spirit of God, presence of God, power of God, glory of God, and anointing of God are all found in the believer and of the Spirit of God. While I believe that salvation and the Holy Spirit baptism are two distinct works of grace, I do believe the fullness of the Spirit in a believer provides “all” the necessary manifestations of God for that believer.
Let’s examine together what the Scripture says. You shall receive power,  Acts 1:8.
When? At the baptism of the Spirit. We also receive the fire of God at this baptism according to John the Baptist in Luke 3:16. What about the anointing? When and how does it come in the New Testament church? Acts. 10:38 declares God anoints with the Holy Ghost and power. Jesus declared the Spirit of the Lord upon Him also anointed Him, Luke 4:18. The anointing is not for five-fold ministers only. Preaching is the work of every believer. The anointing is released as we “do” the work of the ministry. Gifts and callings may vary but the anointing of God is resident in each Spirit-filled believer. So is the power of God and the glory of God.
Now, while we may differ on its evidence, we cannot differ on the act of Spirit baptism being different than salvation. In Acts 2:1-4 they did not settle for just salvation and water baptism following Jesus breathing His Spirit unto them in John’s Gospel, Acts 8 Philip’s revival, and Acts 19 with the 12 elders of the Ephesian church.
With this baptism of the Spirit, we must realize God and all His fullness indwells us, Ephesians 3:19. Now please follow me through the Word.
Ephesians 3:20, God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly, above all we could ask or think according to the power which worketh in you. Colossians 1:27, Christ in you the hope of glory. 1 John 4:4, Greater is He that is in you. 2 Timothy1:7, God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power. 2 Timothy 1:6, Stir up the gift in you! 1 John 2:20 and 27, The anointing abides in you! 2 Corinthians 4:7, We have this treasure in our earthen vessels, in you.

We must stop the suspense and raise up the body of Christ. They do not have to run here and there looking for the anointing. We do not have to sing it down or pray it up. God only desires that we let Him out. Let His Spirit live through us. Our body, but His life.
Zoe: the God-kind of life; eternal life! We need to study, meditate and confess we are anointed. I am anointed. You are anointed with the fire of God, power of God, glory of God. You are the habitation, dwelling place, of God’s presence. Stir it up and let it out. There is a dark, sin lost world in need of God’s love, power and anointing, to set them free and show them the God we know.
Think about it. But not too long! Walk in your anointing!

Greetings! I am writing to complete the August article and not leave anyone hanging. If you have not read Part 1, please go to our web site and read it.

Are You Annointed – Part 1

I have been a little uncomfortable for some time concerning the glory of God that we have heard so much about in the last five years. The Kabod, or weightiness of God. It seems in the New Testament glory is shekinah, with a different meaning.

In the Old Testament we read about the Spirit of God, Presence of God, Glory of God, and the Cloud by day and the fire by night. In our minds we have so fragmented God that we do not realize what he has given to us, provided for us, and invested in us. Such as this thought, in Exodus 13 the cloud and the fire were one in the same not two separate manifestations of God. In Exodus 14:19-20 the angel of God or Christophany. Christ himself was in the cloudy fire or fiery cloud that at the same time appeared as a cloud to the Egyptians, and as fire to the Israelites.

When God descended on Sinai to meet with Moses we see again God’s presence manifested as Fire and cloud at the same time and God was there with it. Once it says, Exodus 19:9 God came in the cloud, then it says in Exodus 19:18 God came in the fire, they were one in the same. When the cloud covered the temple and the glory filled the temple these were not two separate manifestations. NO! It was all one. Scripture bears this out in two ways. First, read other descriptions of God’s presence and you will find wind, cloud, lightening, fire, and smoke. All different descriptions of the same manifestation. Isaiah 19:1; 25:5, or Ezekiel 1:4;10:3-5. Even in Matthew 17:5 on the Mount of Transfiguration a “bright cloud” overshadowed them. The word bright in the Greek means FIRE!

The conclusion is that where God’s presence is His glory dwells, His fire resides, and His spirit abides.
Second, whenever this visible manifestation is present we cannot find the Spirit of God coming upon people. Yet when we read where the Spirit of God came upon them we cannot find the visible presence of God. Now at the day of Pentecost we read in Acts 2:2 there came a sound from heaven: the Greek word heaven means observable sky, that which we determine the weather by. The same word is found in Acts 14:17 where Paul says God has given us rain from heaven or rain from the clouds.

There in Acts 2 the cloud came with fire in it. This was understandable by the Jews. They understood the presence of God. God does not dwell in a temple made by hands, ‘know ye not that ye are the temple of the Holy Ghost’. What, don’t ye know your body is the dwelling place of God’s glory, presence, spirit, and fire. God’s glory is not found in a building in Florida, Canada, or Missouri. It is found where His people appropriate by faith the reality of the resident glory of God in us. This mystery is Christ in you, the hope of glory! We will never walk in the New Testament glory of God as long as we settle for the Old Testament glory. We will never, as the body of Christ, manifest the glory of God as long as we look for that which was. Remember the glory of this latter house shall be greater than the former.

I would like to continue but watch for next month, we are on journey. Let’s clear out the tradition and dig out the truth. The glory is here and the world is dying without it. Until next month God bless you! Keep walking in the light and let the glory shine in you.

Greeting minister of God. Today I am going to stir a little discussion and I am hoping to spawn an in depth study by many. Some may even say it is controversial especially if you do not adhere to the belief that the Baptism of the Holy Spirit is a second different work of grace.

Annointed and Dangerous

I want to speak directly to the body of Christ concerning the anointing. Volumes have been written about the anointing, most of which is nothing more than emphasizing our desperate dependence upon God’s enablement in our lives and ministry. I agree the
anointing is: God doing in and through us what we could never do ourselves. It is the precious person, power and presence of God’s Spirit making us better than we are, and able to accomplish those “greater things”-things only God can do.
A Pastor’s Concern
My concern is twofold. Only one of which I will discuss at this time. First, that the body of Christ has lost sight of the difference between charisma and the precious anointing of God, and therefore, so easily falls prey to the works of the enemy in the church. Second, that those who possess the anointing do so in ignorance, and therefore are in danger. It is this latter concern I wish to explore.
It Is God Who Anoints
It is God’s choice to anoint. We see this all through the Old Testament, in prophets, priests and kings, especially in the words of Isaiah 61 read by Jesus Himself. “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, for the Lord has anointed Me.”
It is not our works, but His will. It is not our righteousness, but the riches of His inheritance.
It Is His Anointing
It is His anointing. God always has a purpose for the anointing, and it is to bring glory to God. The anointing is to preach, heal, deliver, recover, etc., that no flesh should glory in God’s presence and that the faith of men should be in God, not in men.
The Danger of the Anointing
The anointing can be dangerous if we do not recognize it is for God’s call and purpose, not ours, and for His Glory, not ours. Look at Lucifer in Ezekiel 28 and Isaiah 14. He was anointed! The anointed cherub! The morning star! Notice this anointing came from God, and yet one third of the angels who lived in God’s presence, followed this anointing. Lucifer used it for himself and desired a greater position. I will. I will. I will. It was the abuse of his anointing that led to his fall.
Remember Uzzah!
Behold, man or woman of God the anointing God has given you can be dangerous and could lead to a fall. * Remember the Ark of the Covenant and Uzzah! * (2 Samuel 6:3– 11)
U N T I L
Reevaluating The Anointing
The word of God says of Lucifer U N T I L iniquity was found in him. Iniquity means to pervert, mischief or moral evil. Now listen to these two statements and reevaluate the anointing in your life. Anointing and Character Are not Synonymous
A. Your anointing can take you where your character can’t keep you!
The word anointed means expansion: to stretch out or to spread out. In other words, your gift can make room for you in an area you are not spiritually strong enough to handle.
1. King Saul had the anointing of a king and a prophet. He assumed (as did Lucifer) he could fill the position of priest as well. WRONG! Saul also used the anointing for himself to gather people to himself. At that moment, God lifted his anointing, and Saul never received it again. (1Samuel 13:1-14)
2. David’s gift moved him to a place where people told him to stay home and they would fight for him. BUT, that was not David’s calling. He was a warrior. It was at this moment David fell with Bathsheba. Praise God, David did not lose his anointing. (2 Samuel 12:1– 23)
Mercy Is Not Approval
B. Don’t mistake God’s mercy for God’s approval. It is the goodness of God that should
bring repentance in our lives (Romans 2:4). God will allow us opportunity to correct our abuse of His precious gift. Many ministers have failed to realize that just because God’s anointing remains does not mean He condones sin. Our challenge is to stay in our calling, and within the boundaries of our character. Remember John’s exhortation in 3 John 2, “Prosper even as your soul prospers.” Don’t wait for an U N T I L to come. Those who follow us will get destroyed in the fall, and we will be accountable.
Truly Armed and Dangerous
When the anointing is kept in perspective, Acts 10:38, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him” becomes a reality for every
believer and a fatality to every demon. Then, we are truly anointed a World Outreach Center Sermons – Oneonta, AL

A Question of Conscience or Convenience

“The lottery is considered the marijuana of gambling” was reportedly the finding by the National Impact Gambling Commission appointed by Congress. So I might ask, do we want to legalize marijuana?
If marijuana is an introductory drug, which leads to other stronger substances, so the lottery leads to more addictive forms of gambling. It has been proven that many people are now purchasing lottery tickets with credit cards. Should I say more about credit debt in America, or the rising percentage of US citizens filing bankruptcy due to credit card debt? Is it worthy of consideration that the #1 cause of divorce in the US is financial pressure?
History proves every civilized society in the last 500 years has curtailed gambling. It is an attack on the work ethic in America and pits itself against the Biblical teaching of savings. By the way, gambling (especially the lottery) teaches our children to benefit their own futures at the expense of others. Biblically, gambling violates the tenth commandment of coveting and eliminates God as our provider.
But go beyond your theology and look at in terms of a personal life experience, does gambling (or the lottery) bring glory to God? In other words, would Jesus play the lottery? I do not believe He would.
In June of this year (1999), the Federal Gambling Commission urged a slowdown in lotteries nationwide—this should cast suspicion on the entire idea. Additionally, I challenge each of us to determine who is behind the idea, and who benefits most from the lottery!
As for the “supposed money” it will bring to help us, I remind you of Judas who also believed he would benefit from the 30 pieces of silver he received for betraying Christ. Based on the facts presented by the medical professionals who treat addictive disorders (such as gambling), and the statistics reported by the Gambling Commission, the verdict is still out on the lottery. Therefore, the lottery is nothing more than the spin of the chamber in a game of Russian Roulette.
The Word of God  (1 Thessalonians 5:21-22) states, “Prove all things, hold fast to that which is good. Abstain from the very appearance of evil.” My admonition is that gambling should be avoided by all people at all times and at all costs.

Breaking the Curse of Communion – Part 2

Last month I surely raised eyebrows on the subject of being cursed when taking communion unworthily. In studying the scriptures of 1 Corinthians 11, Paul used the
word judged and chastened. To go back to the Old and New Testaments and using the Webster’s Dictionary, it is clear there is a penalty for disobedience. Proverbs 26:2 declares the curse causeless does not come. There is a cause for the punishment Paul describes. The cause is division in the body of Christ. Not discerning the Lord’s body brings consequences. May we look now at four consequences of not discerning the Lord’s body.
Remember last month I said this curse is not eternal separation or punishment, but it is here and now.
1. Paul uses the word sick and even death. In other words people who have continually taken communion in this manner are sick and some have died. The body depends on itself to heal properly. When you cut yourself off from the body, healing can’t take place. Yes, even people have died who would not have had too. Could this be the cause of chronic sickness? Could this be the cause of failure with the elders prayers? The Bible suggests so.
2. 1 John 1:7 says we have fellowship one with another and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin. Could this be the reason cycles of moral weakness cannot be broken and deliverance from secret sins and faults doesn’t take place? The inference here is
“koinonia.” Close relationship allows the continual cleansing of sin. If a member of the body is disconnected then the flow of blood is cut off. James says we need each other to be healed of these faults (James 5:16). Schism is a dangerous thing. Communion centers on the blood of Jesus and its power to cleanse from all sin, especially prejudice, discrimination and partiality. The wall has been broken down by Christ’s death on the cross.
3. In Ephesians 4:11-16 Paul teaches the whole body supplies bringing growth to itself. I believe this very thing, the failure to discern, has caused immaturity, dullness and blindness to the things of God. No wonder the body of Christ in the United States is
struggling with every wind of doctrine.
4. In 1 Corinthians 11 Paul uses the word “weak.” In the Septuagint this word not only means moral weakness, which we dealt with in number 2, but also financial weakness, lack in the area of finance. Could it be that we are cursed financially because we discriminate and show partiality while receiving the communion of the body of Christ. God’s word clearly teaches we reap what we sow! I realize this is a strong message but it had to be spoken. As with Paul, my purpose is to see liberty, healing and growth to the church. In verses 31-33 Paul says if we search our own hearts and repent taking communion in a worthy manner then we will not be disciplined or judged by God. In other words, the curse is broken as we recognize the power of the blood of Jesus and His broken body. Oneness is the goal of Christ. It is His prayer for these last days. Jesus said that a nation, city or house divided cannot stand.
Break the curse. Repent for the division we have allowed and even fought for and receive forgiveness and wholeness through supping at the Lord’s table. It is His provision. He is the host and His will and purpose is to be fulfilled. Thank God we can be free. Allow God’s Holy Spirit to turn on the search light. Examine yourself and break the curse through communion.

Last month I surely raised eyebrows on the subject of being cursed when taking communion unworthily. In studying the scriptures of 1 Corinthians 11, Paul used the word judged and chastened.

Breaking The Curse of Communion – Part 1

You may be shocked by the title, but I believe it is a prophetic word for the church today. Did you know you, your family, your people, even your church could be under a curse because of communion. Entire networks or denominations could be under a curse for taking communion unworthily. It is time to break the curse and let God’s people go free. It is time for the church to be the church God intended us to be. If you don’t believe it could be, or maybe something is breaking in you already, read on!
1 Cor. 11:27-32 lays it out clearly. God is speaking to the church about communion. Verse 29 says if we take communion in an unworthy manner, we bring damnation to ourselves. Let’s make two things clear: first, verse 29 says how we do it, “not discerning
the Lord’s body” and second, verse 32 says when God judges us it does not mean spiritual judgment or being condemned with the world or unbelievers. This is not a spiritual judgment but a physical one.
Now don’t let go of this truth. The cause is laid out in verses 29 & 30, not discerning the Lord’s body. For this cause Proverbs 26:2 declares the curse causeless will not come. There is always a therefore, because, or so, a reason for the results in our lives.
The cause is taking communion not discerning the Lord’s body. Therefore, we must understand this principle. We are the body of Christ (1 Cor. 10:15-17). The body and the bread (1 Cor. 12:12-27 and Ephesians 1:22-23).
The word “communion” is the Greek word koinonia and is found throughout the New Testament. It is translated sharing, fellowship, and partner. It means the closest, deepest kind of relationship. Simply and rather forcefully it means togetherness.
We must return to one body in Christ. Jesus prayed that we all may be one in John 17. The whole of the communion service is to show forth the Lord’s death until He comes. The cross makes us one. Galatians 3:26-29 and Ephesians 2:11-22 declares the cross
broke down the dividing wall and made us one. Notice, no longer Jew nor Greek, bond or free, or male nor female. Yet these things still exist in the church world, genderism, denominationalism and racism.
Why no lasting revival? Why is there as much sexual sin, divorce and addiction in the church as there is in the world? We are damning ourselves through division. How can we say we love God whom we’ve not seen and yet hate our brother whom we
have seem? (1 John 4:20).
God is not pleased! We bless God and curse men. Sunday is still the most segregated day of the week. It doesn’t matter if we all believe exactly the same, but if we are born by the Spirit of God, washed in the blood of the Lamb and confess Jesus Christ as Lord, then we are of one body. If God is your Father, then I am your brother. What? Do you listen or tell racial jokes, black, white, Polish, Jewish or Hispanic? Do you down the Baptist or Pentecostals? Judge the Methodist or Charismatics? Then we are guilty. Do you treat women as second-class citizens and say God can’t use them to preach the Gospel? Then we are under a curse! Do you say only people from your church can take communion with you or that we should all stay in our place? Then you are being judged. God is calling for the body of Christ to be ONE “whole” body. Whole means complete, one, healed, delivered, sound, free and strong. Verse 28 says we must examine ourselves. Be honest inside, and verse 31, judge ourselves so we will not be judged by God. Remember “togetherness.” How many real friends do you have of another race, denomination or gender? Who do you worship with? It’s time to be clean. It’s time to be WHOLE!
Next month I will explain four curses that come upon the church because of unworthily taking communion and HOW TO BREAK THE CURSE THROUGH COMMUNION. Until then, may God reveal His glory in you, through you and to the lost, hurting world
He came to save. See you next time.

You may be shocked by the title, but I believe it is a prophetic word for the church today. Did you know you, your family, your people, even your church could be under a curse because of communion. Entire networks or denominations could be under a curse for taking communion unworthily.

Cursed or Committed?

At World Outreach Center we have proclaimed 2001 as the year of commitment. A time to realign our priorities and fulfill the purpose and plan of God. What about you? How is your relationship with God? What is your gauge? Thermometer? How do you check up on the most important thing in your life?
Well, God’s Word says we do so by giving heed to God’s Word. It is the mirror we see ourselves in, the standard or ruler. It is the measuring rod. Why not do a personal inventory NOW! Malachi was written for just such a purpose. A burden of the Word of the Lord (Malachi 1:1). Verse 6 Gods asks, “Where is mine honor?” God then begins to talk to them personally concerning the relationship to Himself.
Verse 13 God says that the things of God has become a weariness to you. You have snuffed at it. Snuffed means to disesteem by blowing hard. Kind of like a 13 year old who is sighing in disgust at a parent’s request!
What about you? Does church attendance weary you? Is Sunday morning, Wednesday night and one other weekend night just too much? Should there not be a joy in being in God’s house and with God’s people? I mean, if we are born again and a part of God’s family, why should we be weary of being with them?
Chapter 3, verses 16 and 17 speak of small group meetings of believers talking about the things of God and how He records these for a Book of Memory! Malachi speaks of marriage, 2:14, and family, 4:5 and 6. How is your commitment to your family? Not just money, I mean to their spiritual future and the blessings of God on your home! God continually talked about their worship and the Word of God. How committed to the Bible are you? Do you read it any time other than on Sunday as the Pastor reads his text?
Do you sigh when a prayer meeting is announced? No time, too busy with the blessings of life? In Chapter 2:2, God declares He will curse our blessings and send a curse upon us.
What are you spending your life on? When you stand before Christ in eternity, what will be your reward? Are your days spent on eternal things or temporal things? When we stand before Him we will only give account for one thing, did we “finish our course,” that which He gave us to do specifically, our personal destiny assignment and purpose on this earth.
Will souls be in your record? After all, this was, is and forever will be the cause of God in the earth. Souls saved, loving the lost and living to see them come into the Kingdom of God.
In these days God is sending out His call. . 1 Samuel 2:30, “Them that honor Me I will honor and they that despise Me shall be lightly esteemed.” Do you honor God with your commitment? Really God was speaking in Malachi concerning the offering of the people. No real offering. 1:7-10. Polluted. In Chapter 3:8- 10 He declares a curse because of offerings. You see God says, “Honor Me with the sacrifice of your offerings.” Proverbs 3:9  says, “Honor the Lord with ‘your’ substance.” This is not the tithe. Even so many still rob God with the tithe. The tithe belongs to God but the offering is His blessings that are yours. We fuss and argue over every penny. Even now God is speaking of your “money.” Jesus declared “where your ‘treasure’ is, there your heart is.” Where is your heart? Look in your check book. Keep a record. How much do you spend on yourself, temporal things, and what is invested in God’s Kingdom? Could the church advance, could the kingdom enlarge if only we honored God with what belongs to us?
“Where is My honor?” Really, God is asking if these basic things are wearisome to us, do we really have a viable relationship with God or have we become religious? Church goers, but not Christians? Born again, or just a case of the do betters? I believe the Spirit of God like a fire is here to burn up the chaff of our lives. God has always wanted commitment and now His Word is calling us to TURN or RETURN to the love of our Father and give honor TO HIM. God is ready to bless us in a way that nations will stand and recognize we are His. Why walk under a curse when the blessings of commitment await us now!
We will not. We must not. We will turn to our Father and the curse will not smite the earth.
Malachi 4:6

At World Outreach Center we have proclaimed 2001 as the year of commitment. A time to realign our priorities and fulfill the purpose and plan of God. What about you? How is your relationship with God? What is your gauge? Thermometer? How do you check up on the most important thing in your life?

Destined To A Place In The Kingdom

(Ephesians 1:3-6) You are destined for a place in the kingdom. Some of you realize that, but some do not. We are talking about a divine destiny that embraces and envelops every one of your lives. In order to understand this we must understand two things:
First, you were destined to be the bride of Christ. Romance is at the heart of this universe. It is the key to all existence. From all eternity, God purposed that some time in the future His son would have an eternal companion. A companion described by John as the Bride, the Lamb’s wife. In Rev. 21:9 You are that bride. All events from all eternity were ordered and directed for that one purpose. That was, the preparing and training of the bride. That is your ultimate place in the kingdom. You place is not just to be married, to be a mother, or someone’s employee. Your ultimate place in the kingdom was and is, to be the bride of Christ. Whether man, woman, or child that is your place. Therefore, everything that happens on this earth, everything you encounter, plays a part in preparing and training you to be that bride, to rule and reign throughout eternity. Everything that comes your way, the Holy Spirit uses to train and equip you. NO, He does not initiate
everything that comes your way, but He uses it. If you embrace that fact then no day will be mundane or ordinary, no day will be lost. You’ll never go to bed at midnight thinking this day has been a total waste, because you will know that on that day something happened to conform you by the Holy Spirit to the Bride.
In World War II there was a general on the front line who had much success. He was asked, “Who are your greatest warriors?” He replied, “The greatest warriors are those who have the eye of the tiger.” “What do you mean?” “It means those who have faced the enemy head on, they know exactly what he looks like, they almost suffered at his hands, and they have purposed that they have the eye of the tiger. Nothing wavers them, nothing can hold them back, nothing can make them go back, nothing affects them. But they go on for the purpose and mission to which they were called.”
I believe in these last days God is raising up some women that have the eye of the tiger. You know what the enemy looks like, you have almost suffered at his hands. Nothing wavers you, nothing can hold you back, nothing can make you go back, nothing affects you. But you go for the purpose and mission to which you are called.
Know who is in control of your destiny. Your destiny has deep design behind it. God has a place in the kingdom that has intricate details. In Exodus 15, Moses said, “Who is like thee oh God? Isaiah 28 says, “He is the Lord of Hosts, excellent in working.” In carving out your destiny, your place in the kingdom, the Lord of Hosts has molded out a plan in which not one detail has been overlooked.
You and I are just seeing the beginning, and God sees the middle and end. So we don’t always understand what this deep intelligent place is going to be. But we will know it when we get there.
Secondly, God has a specific plan for you as a woman. In scripture there were 14 prophetess, only one was a false prophetess. In the Old Testament Rachel prophesied the birth of Benjamin. Miriam was the first woman called a prophetess. Deborah was a judge in Israel, the highest power of authority. Esther delivered a nation. In the New Testament Anna was the first to preach Jesus publicly after His birth. There were Phillip’s four daughters. Women were the last at the cross, the first at the tomb, the first to proclaim the resurrection, attended the first prayer meeting, first to greet missionaries Paul and Silas, and Paul’s first convert was Lydia.
They held offices in the church in the apostolic ministry. In  Romans 16:7 Junia is noted among the apostles. Priscilla labored with Paul. In the prophetic ministry, Anna in Luke 2, and Phillip’s four daughters in Acts 21:8-9, Peter even said in Acts 2:17 your sons and your daughters shall prophesy. In the evangelistic ministry, Euodia and Syntyche in Philippians 4 labored with Paul, not to mention Mary Magdalene. As pastors and teachers, Priscilla took Apollos aside, explained to him the way of God more accurately in Acts 18:24-26, Timothy’s grandmother and mother taught him the scriptures from a very early age. As a deacon there was Phoebe in Romans 16.
Men and women simply are not the same obviously. The emancipation of women into God’s fullest intention for them should not erase all distinctions, for those were designed by God Himself.
Women cannot make their greatest contribution to the body of Christ by imitating men, but rather by shining with the special qualities God gave them. Although the distinction between male and female is obvious and was part of God’s original plan, there initially was such harmony, oneness and teamwork between the genders that the Lord considered them one. So much so they only had one name, Adam.
Not until sin entered did Eve get her own name. Men and women working together is the key to unlocking the church’s greatest potential. The stories of Esther and Deborah are the perfect examples. You see God had a purpose and place in the kingdom for each of these women and at the appointed time they were brought to the place God needed them. Both of these women waited on God for His timing, they prayed, and they fasted. Esther had a three-fold plan, fasting, determination through boldness, and gaining the attention of the king.
You were born to be remarkable. Your place in the kingdom is unique. The vision God has for you is unique. You are irreplaceable! Get the eye of the tiger to take your place in the kingdom of God. To let go of your destiny, to let go of being all God wants you to be, would be the greatest tragedy.

(Ephesians 1:3-6) You are destined for a place in the kingdom. Some of you realize that, but some do not. We are talking about a divine destiny that embraces and envelops every one of your lives. In order to understand this we must understand two things:

Exalting Christ to Everyone

Jesus said, “if I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto Me.” We live in a world where three billion people have yet to have that opportunity. We have stadiums filled with crusades, Bible schools, Christian universities, revivals such as Pensacola’s Brownsville Assembly of God, missions organizations, Christian radio, television and press, and still we are yet not seeing the fulfillment of Ephesians 4:11-16.
Most of our five-fold offices being seen and heard on television and radio, are still doing the work of the ministry!
We are re-reaching the backslider, rededicating the undedicated and preaching to the choir, resulting in a dwarfing of the Body of Christ instead of building it up. Our churches are filled with saints who have never interceded for a foreign country, never won a soul, never discipled a new convert, never prayed for the sick and seen them healed, and never preached or prophesied the Word of God! I believe we are still lifting up the Hand of God, and that being paralyzed in its purposed function, instead of the Hand of God exalting Jesus! I believe God is strengthening His hand to “equip the saints.” Every saint should be a soul winner and a disciple maker. Every child of God should be an apostolic establisher of God’s Kingdom in the earth while prophetically speaking God’s heart and mind to a generation hungry for God! Every believer should have a shepherd’s heart to care for the body of Christ. This is the Christ we read of in Ephesians 4:11-16.  It is this Christ that will be seen in the whole body, not just God’s hand, that will draw all men unto Christ.
The Hand of God, the Five-Fold Ministry, must equip and lift the body of Christ, that Christ may be exalted in due time. Due time is now! In the fullness of time, Y2K time, nuclear race time, this is God’s time.
We, the Body of Christ, are not early or late, we are right on time! While we humble ourselves under God’s mighty hand (the Five-Fold Equippers), we will be exalted as the Body of Christ to a lost world.
Jesus said, “if I be lifted up, I will draw all men unto Me.” We live in a world where three billion people have yet to have that opportunity.

Elijah or Jezebel?

I am writing this word as a parable to this great apostolic reformation. I know there will be scholars who disagree and others who even take offense, but let him that hath an ear hear what the Spirit is saying to the Church.
In Revelation 2:18-29, Jesus is addressing one of the seven churches. While these may be ages of the church, many agree all seven are alive today as part of the “Last Days” church. We all know they also were seven actual churches in the early period of Christianity.
Jezebel, while being two actual women in the church of the Old and New Testaments, is also a type of a spirit. This spirit works through an authority structure to seduce God’s servants and also attack God’s true authority.
Satan himself rebelled against God. The serpent seduced Eve to rebel and bring division between Adam and his Father “God”. In Old Testament days, Jezebel seduced Ahab the King to fight and take by force Naboth’s vineyard. When Elijah, God’s prophet, began to speak, this spirit arose to intimidate God’s prophet. Elijah became a father to Elisha, and in   Malachi 4:6  we see the spirit of Elijah does just this. . . turn the hearts of fathers to children and children to fathers.
In New Testament days, John the Baptist came in the spirit of Elijah! Again, Herodias working through seduction of the authority structure of Herod had John beheaded. Herod listened to John, but this spirit hated John. Jezebel means “without cohabitation”; not; what; how; wither; nothing; not exist; dwelling; false, God moves to restore fathers to sons and sons to fathers.
God sent Jesus to do this in the earth, but the organized church of His day fought Him and falsely accused Him. They were jealous of Him. Read  Matthew 21:33-41. Israel knew Jesus was God’s son. Also read John 11:45-53. This spirit hates God’s authority and refuses to surrender control.
To “seduce” in Revelation 2:20 means impostor or to mislead.

What is this spirit doing in the Last Days Church? Notice verse 19. I know thy “service”. This word is used of apostles, prophets and deacons as well as other gifts of the Spirit. You see God has sent the spirit of Elijah the prophet to release fathers. Was it not the prophets and the teachers who separated apostles in Antioch? What did these apostles do but raise up sons.
Joel said in the “Last Days” God would pour out His Spirit on sons and daughters and would bring together the old and young men. God is restoring true authority back to the church–His authority. But the spirit of Jezebel hates God’s authority. It is seducing God’s servants and misleading many. Where? In the Church. It is happening in the man made authority structures. You see “kings” were not God’s original plan, but the people’s plan. They wanted a king. Today is no different. People want their way instead of God’s way.
But listen to the words of Jesus. I WILL BUILD MY CHURCH. WARNING! To all organizations, networks, denominations and churches, beware of Jezebel in the House of God. She is an impostor, seducer and she is out to destroy God’s servants. God gives a space to repent. Run to the mercy seat. Cast out Jezebel who wants to control and dominate because she cannot cohabitate with God’s authority.
She has been cast into a bed of sickness. . .probably an open flow venereal disease like the woman with the issue of blood. This sickness stops conception, stops fruitfulness and brings death to the Church. Without apostles and prophets the church is sick, dying in stale doctrine. There are no miracles. There are no sons and daughters. Most organized structures of authority have built great institutions with many instructors. But where are the fathers? Sons are crying out. God will hear their cry. Many will leave these structures that have Jezebel. And they will run to the river where John the Baptist is waiting with the spirit of Elijah.
Which spirit will you come under? Which spirit will teach you? He that hath an ear must hear and respond. May God grant you much more from this morsel of truth. Until next time, go with God and you’ll never go wrong.
